June 9
8:30 am
- 1:00 pm
Be
a part of the Inland Empire’s largest day of
community, civic and corporate volunteerism – Hands
On Inland Empire Day! On June 9th, hundreds of
volunteers will gather at multiple project sites
throughout San Bernardino and Eastern Los Angeles
counties.
Working together, we will transform, revitalize and
brighten schools, local nonprofits, community
gardens and parks. We will paint, plant and leave a
lasting mark on our community and the agencies that
serve those in need.
How to
get involved
Become
a Sponsor
Hands
On Inland Empire Day raises vital funds that allow
us to continue our mission of mobilizing volunteers,
developing leaders and building strong communities
all year long. Funds are raised primarily through
corporate sponsorship of the event. Sponsoring
companies enjoy the benefits of the event’s
extensive promotional campaign as they foster a
spirit of teamwork in their group and brand
themselves as having a stake in their community. In
addition, corporate and individual volunteers may
raise funds by collecting pledge dollars for the
hands-on service they perform to help others in the
community.

Join a
Planning Committee
Committees of volunteers help
us to plan and implement the day. Committees will meet about once a month
between now and June. Be a part of something big, fun, and worthwhile!
Projects Committee
Members
of the Project Committee will become the Project
Leaders, Supply Managers and Task Captains for the
specific project sites where volunteers will be
working on Hands On Inland Empire Day. If you want
to make a direct impact painting, planting and being
truly “hands on” – then this is your committee!
Committee members
will be trained in how to manage a facility-based
project site, organize large groups of volunteers
through a site work plan and be responsible for
inventory and management of tools and supplies.
The committee will
be responsible for recruiting task captains and
ensuring each project is well-organized, successful,
and fun for volunteers!

Outreach
Committee
Are
you good at working the phones? Sponsors and
volunteer teams are critical to the success of the
day. Members of the outreach committee will be
trained to do outreach phone calls to follow-up with
potential sponsors and recruit teams of volunteers
to participate in the day.
The outreach committee will also be responsible for
developing fund-raising strategies to help
participating teams and individuals raise dollars to
support Hands On Inland Empire.
