Volunteer with Hands On Inland Empire!
July 2007

We've got a new look!

Have you been to the Hands On Inland Empire website lately?  We're sporting a fresh new interface with more info about us and our programs. We've also introduced our new logo! As we travel the country as part of the National Hands On Network, people from out-of-state often ask us: "The Inland Empire?? Where's that?"  Now, our new logo proudly shows where we are -- smack in sunny Southern California.

Hands On Inland Empire Day a huge success!

Nearly 400 volunteers worked their hearts out and had a great time at one of three project sites: Yucaipa 9th Grade Campus, Victoria Elementary School in the Redlands Unified School District, and the Community Auditorium at St. Mary’s in Apple Valley and applied hundreds of gallons of fresh paint, created over a dozen new murals, created gardens, planted trees, landscaped, built a running track, and beautified and rejuvenated our schools!  Thanks to all our volunteers and sponsors! What a day!

WE ONCE AGAIN THANK THE MANY SPONSORS
OF HANDS ON INLAND EMPIRE DAY 2007

HOT Volunteer Referrals for June!

School Tools Supply Drive - August 10 and 11
More than half of students in San Bernardino County public schools are enrolled in the federal free and reduced meal program. If these children can’t afford lunch, it is unlikely that their families can afford school supplies. Stuff the Truck at Quakes Stadium and Stuff the Van at Victoria Gardens  will help ensure students have the necessary supplies to learn.  Click here for more info.
