It
started in August with the North Tamarind Park
playground build. It continued on
October 4th with over 50 volunteers from The Home Depot
renovating the North Tamarind Elementary school
garden, preparing the playground surface, and
building storage cupboards, shelves, backpack hooks
and ball boxes. On October 6th an additional
250+ volunteers picked up
paint brushes and painted over a dozen new murals,
playground games and curbs, goalposts, basketball
backboards and picnic tables, completely transforming
the school into a vibrant splash of color!
Thanks to
all our volunteers, sponsors and the Points of Light
& Hands On Network for supporting us as we finished
our transformation of the North Tamarind
Neighborhood! Special thanks to the great teams from
The Home Depot, Circuit City, Kaiser Permanente,
North Tamarind Cougar Pride, Claremont Colleges
Circle K, San Bernardino Bridges Program, Helping
Hands Fontana High School, UCR Circle K, Starbucks,
and Schneider National.
