Wildfires Volunteer Information
As you know,
wildfires exploded across the Inland Empire and
much of Southern California on Monday,
destroying at least 138 structures locally and
consuming hundreds more throughout our parched
region that has endured the driest year on
record.
Two major blazes, the Grass Valley Fire and the
Slide Fire, urged on by Santa Ana winds gusting
to 70 mph, charred nearly 2,000 acres in the San
Bernardino Mountains. More fires burned in San
Bernardino, Devore and Ontario.
Hands On Inland Empire and San Bernardino
County 2-1-1 are monitoring the situation and preparing
to respond to any calls for volunteer response
to this emergency.
To
be able to react quickly when need emerges, we
are compiling a special mailing list for
volunteers who wish to respond this emergency.
