What is the Teens Make A Difference (TMAD)
Program?
TMAD is a program that
recognizes the amazing work young people do in their community!
This program is designed for high school students only. The program is continual although timesheets are due each
April 1st in order to participate in the annual
recognition ceremony. You can get started anytime by
volunteering and logging hours toward your year-end total on
a TMAD timesheet. Any volunteering at a nonprofit or
community based organization may be included on your
timesheet. (Sorry: volunteering at dad's insurance company
or babysitting your sister doesn't count.) Be sure to log
all your hours and have the volunteer coordinator sign it
each time you volunteer. Libraries, hospitals and
participating schools are some of the places where you can
give your time and make a difference! To find out more

What if I'm under 14 years of age?
- We have projects for you too! But you must be
registered by a parent or guardian.
- Parents create a 'family team' and register their
kids as part of the team. Then they come with their
family members to volunteer together.
directions on creating a family team.
- Download an
HOIE Liability and release form for each member of
your team under the age of 18. Fill out the forms and
send them back to HOIE like it says above.
- Use the
HOIE search engine to find age-suitable projects.
Click on SIGN MY TEAM UP to tell us who
in your family will be attending.
- Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied
