Do I need to have an e-mail address to register?
Yes. Our website uses your email address to identify you and send you important information about any opportunities you sign up for. If you do not have an e-mail account, you may sign up for one free of charge at www.gmail.com or www.yahoo.com. You may access interent at most public libraries.

Your username is the e-mail address you used to sign up. If that does not work, please e-mail Meghan Meade with the subject "Forgotten username" and a HOIE staff member will contact you within 5 business days.
Click on the "LOGIN" button at the top right of the home page. Enter your username and click "Forgot password?" and an e-mail with a temporary password will be sent to you.
What do I do if I am waitlisted for a project?
When and if a space opens up for a project that you are waitlisted, you will be notified via e-mail. Open spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you are still availabe and interested in the volunteer opportunity, make sure you login, return to the sign-in page, and claim one of the open spaces. DO NOT JUST SHOW UP FOR THE PROJECT without being signed up, often projects place limits on the number of volunteers because there is a certain capacity of people that can be accomodated.
Why aren't my hours accurate or verified?
If you volunteered with a HOIE Managed Project, please give our Project Leader one week to verify attendance. However, if you volunteered with one of our partner organizations, your hours will not be verified until they submit that information.
How do I become a partner of HandsOn Inland Empire?
Pleae visit our page on how to Become a Partner, which includes information about the benefits of partnership with HandsOn Inland Empire. Once you are registered and we verify your information, you will be granted access to our partner portal and be able to post volunteer opportunities.

How do I post volunteer opportunities on HandsOn Inland Empire's website?
You must be registered as a partner organization with HandsOn Inland empire before you can post volunteer opportunities. Please visit our Partner resources to find out more infomation on how to post projects.
I just submitted a volunteer opportunity submission. Why hasn't it shown up on the website?
We have staff that are constantly approving projects. You will receive an e-mail notice once the project has been approved and posted. If it has not shown up on the website within five business days, please contact Denise School at (909) 980-2857 ext. 223.
How do volunteers express interest in an opportunity?
HandsOn Inland Empire's website functions as a search engine for volunteer opportunities. Volunteers can search for opportunities based on location, interest, and skill. When a volunteer expresses interest in a project, both the project contact and volutneer will receive each other's contact information. We highly recommend the organization's staff contact the volunteer within 3-5 business days.
I received a notice that my organization's project(s) is expiring. What should I do?
The e-mail will include a prompt that will enable you to update your opportunity which will automatically renew your opportunity if you choose to continue the listing.
