THE CONNECTION: Have you ever wanted to make a
difference, but didn’t know where to start? With
TeamConnect, you can connect with a team of
like-minded individuals interested in the same
issues you care about.
THE POWER OF FOUR: For four months you'll
volunteer with a team of 15 people, four hours per
day, one Saturday per month, at four different
community organizations. All this for just $30!
AN EXPONENTIAL IMPACT: It's a great way to
volunteer in different ways to affect the issues you
care about most, meet great people and work with
your peers to make the Inland Empire a more vibrant
community! You will also learn more about the issues
you care about, and learn about organizations that
are making a difference!
The summer session has already kicked off. If you are interested in participating in the fall session starting in September, please let Shalini know and she will email you when TeamConnect opens for sign-up
HOW IT
GENERALLY WORKS
Sign up for a team and plan to meet everyone at
the kick-off.
Teams are first come, first serve. Once a
team reaches 15 people, it's full! So if you are
signing up with friends or you are very, very
interested, act quick! Once teams are
full we'll introduce you to your Team Captain.
Plan on attending our TeamConnect Kick-off on September 20, 2008.
This is your chance to meet your team, get your
t-shirt and learn more about what's ahead! Following the kick-off, projects will occur one Saturday a month for four months.
September 20, 10am-3pm
October 18, 10am-2pm
November 15, 10am-2pm
December 13, 10am-3pm
You'll dig in a various nonprofits, parks and
schools around town. Afterwards everyone is invited
to a local watering hole for some post-project fun.
It's expected that you attend all the projects.
Can't make it? Join some
HOT Projects, our one-time commitments, and get
ready for the next round of TeamConnect.
TeamConnect has a $30 registration fee. This
helps cover the costs of running this fine program,
plus you get a snazzy t-shirt and entrance to our
final post-project event*

The amount of your contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of your contribution over the fair market value of goods and services provided (in the form of t-shirts). The fair market value of goods and services provided you is $19.
*If less than a full-time team signs up, the fee will be reduced to $10 and volunteers will receive goodie bags instead of t-shirts).
