| Sending Smiles with Cards |
Agency: Hands On Inland Empire (a program of Inland Empire United Way)
Description:
Each month children are hospitalized and there hospital beds and surroundings often become there home. HandsOn Inland Empire is looking for a group of volunteers each month to help make greeting cards for children at the Pomona Valley Hospital in the City of Pomona and the Loma Linda Childrens Hospital in Loma Linda.
Sending a thoughtful card to a child who is hospitalized is a great way to put a smile on their face. Whether it is a get well soon or thinking of you card, the compassion of a warm message can give them contact outside of their hospital stay and brighten their day.
Please feel free to bring your own markers, stickers, glitter, working scissors, scrapbook embellishments, glue and more construction paper to make these cards great.
