School Tools Hero

Agency: KidSmart (a program of Inland Empire United Way)

Description:

The School Tools Teacher Resource Center (TRC) provides disadvantaged children with the school supplies they need to learn and succeed. At our School Tools TRC, local teachers have the unique opportunity to shop for supplies for their students and classroom twice a year - completely FREE of charge!

Become a School Tools hero! Volunteers are needed in the Teacher Resource Center for the following duties:

  • Help teachers shop and select school supplies
  • Assist in check-in and check-out
  • Help teachers carry items to their vehicles
  • Stock and straighten shelves
  • Create and organize displays
  • General store-keeping duties
  • Sort product donations in warehouse

Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age, however all volunteers under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteers under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardian complete a HOIE Liability and Release form for Minors.
